I love eKidz!

Our children's ministry is first class.  A while back they created a blog that is so helpful!  I no longer have to wonder what my kids are learning about in church, or rely on their interpretation of what they were taught each week.

The eKidz blog gives a weekend recap every Monday, so I know exactly what concepts I can be reinforcing at home.  They also post about upcoming events, contests they are doing and other helpful information as well as the memory verses for each month.

I am so proud of our children's ministers.  They work so hard to make Elevation an exciting place for kids.  My kids love going to church and that makes me so happy!

Last month, Graham's age group did a spy contest.  This month it's all about basketball in Elijah's group.  Here are their pictures that they entered...

We saved the best for last

Code Orange Revivial far exceeded my expectations.  From the amazing messages that spoke to me every night to energetic and expectant crowds, we had a blast.  But the moment that surpassed them all, for me, was the very last moment of the 12th day when my husband baptized my son.

I don't really want to leave a lot of commentary here.  I think the pictures speak for themselves.  I pray big things for my children and it was an incredible moment to see Elijah take this step of faith.

I am kind of funny about what I think makes a picture good.  Honestly, I know this is old fashioned, but I really like when everybody is looking at the camera and smiling.  I know, a lot of creativity is lacking on my part here.

As you know with young children, this can be quite difficult to acheive.  Here are a few pictures taken of my kids over the holidays I thought you might enjoy...

A bit of bragging about my kids...

As all kids do this time of year, our kids have been busy little perfomers and I though I would share a few videos with you!

Elijah began taking piano lessons this fall.  He had his first recital this winter and, personally, I think he stole the show. 

Here he is just before the recital began.  He looks so nervous!

Graham is up next.  He is in 3 year old preschool a few days a week.  Here he is with his dad.  I had to get a full shot of his precious outfit.

And we cannot leave Abbey out!  She is all over the place and becoming increasingly difficult to photograph :)

I have been working with Abbey on how to be a nurturing mother lately.  Here she is giving her baby kisses...

Pumpkin Patch Tradition

Every year for the past 3 years we have gone to Riverbend Pumpkin Patch in Midland, NC.  It is such a wonderful little place that we have really grown to love.  I thought you would enjoy seeing some of the pictures I took.

First day of school

    

 

Today was Elijah's first day of kindergarten.  While I got pretty emotional, Elijah saw to it that I did not shed a tear because he wanted nothing to do with me.  He did not hold my hand walking in, neither did he kiss me goodbye.  He walked into that classroom and never looked back.  I am glad he is so confident.  I am thankful he has a wonderful, godly teacher.  It is going to be a great year!

Look alike?

I started working on pictures for Elijah's digital scrapbook.  I have been working with the Faces function on iPhoto and have been amazed at how much my kids look alike as babies.  The funny thing is Elijah and Graham do not favor each other much, but Abbey has some photos where she looks just like Graham and some photos where she looks just like Elijah.

Since I have been working with Elijah's photos, we will start with him.  Here is a shot of Elijah and Abbey about the same age.  In a few days, I will put Abbey next to Graham.
