Alright, several days ago I posted pictures of Elijah and Abbey around the same age (see here). Well, here is my pass at convincing you that Graham and Abbey look alike. Something about the shape of their faces that resemble each other.
In other news, sweet Graham started preschool today. He was so excited to have his own homework folder. Boy do I love that kid.
Also, I filled in for my husband this past weekend at Elevation. Wow, I am glad that is over and I can get back to my normal life. I did not do a Monday Morning Commentary because I have nothing else to say about that message after preaching it 3 times. Every time I do that I have so much respect for my husband and what he does each week. You can listen to my message on the Elevation Experience this week or also in our archives.
Holly, I just wanted to say what an eye opener your message was for me.I never really saw my son's persuasiveness as a strength always as a negative. It has made me look at him in a different way.
I'm trying to see what God sees. Thank you so much. Lori

Hi Holly:
Thanks so much for this message! I got to listen this past Saturday (9/10) and apparently this was what God had planned because I was able to use several of your points with the ladies in my Sunday School class! What a blessing you are!!!

Ms. Holly,
You did an AMAZING job this past weekend! I felt so blessed to hear your message! As the week as gone by, I found many times to put your message to the test in my personal life! Thanks for sharing your great wisdom with us all!
Ohhh...I also brought a visitor last Sunday...she too LOVED hearing your message. She will be coming again this weekend with us!

Hi Holly,
I wanted to share with you what the Lord revealed to me through your message:
I am so moved to realize that the Simon side of me is not enough to make Jesus give up on me. He always sees past our sin. He has hope for us. Even if we do something incredibly insulting to Him like deny Him (wow!!) it's not enough for Him to stop pursuing us. Jesus sees a hope in us that we don't see in ourselves. He demonstrates this when He tells Peter to "feed His sheep" and Peter goes on to do great things for God.
I also love that Peter jumps out of the boat when he realizes it's Jesus. I think we are all one jump away from Christ speaking something powerful over us. I'll say it again: Our past sin can't stop the potential our God sees in us for today and tomorrow and the next ...

Hi Holly! Thanks so much for sharing on Sunday. I've read John so many times and never once did I pick up on Peter going "back to fishing" as back to what he did before Christ called him to ministry. wow - that preached! and that was even after Christ had risen and revealed himself to the disciples I think! I'm so amazed at God's love and patience with us. I'm praying my shiftiness can become firm and be used for God's glory. We are brand new to the area (new job, new city, new baby), but have followed Pastor Steven and others online and we are thankful to have the opportunity to be under his teaching. I miss our prior church and ministries so much, but God's plan was clear for us to move to the area, so we have come on faith and we are excited to see what God has for us to be a part of here. We feel honored to be a part of elevation church. Even though we don't know anyone yet, the Spirit is so thick. When we are with the body of Christ, it feels like home. Praying blessings and protection for you and your family

Thanks for the great message this weekend. I did not listen until today but that was God's plan because today was the day I needed to hear it. You did an awesome job. I am so blessed to be growing in Christ and at Elevation.

Super encouraged by your message this weekend, my whole family got something out of it. You never disappoint, ever. Be proud of yourself! Oh, and Abbey has been a dead ringer for Graham since day one, I think. :)

Holly, I really enjoyed your sermon! I am from Ga. and watched on the web this morning. I am 49 and I also am a people pleaser. I am pretty reserved and have never had confidence on how God could use me. I am intimidated very easily by others, but your message was very inspiring to me. I admire women who can speak in front of people as you did. Awesome job!

Thank you so much for your sermon Holly! I really enjoyed it. I love that you always give points and I LOVE the stories about your children. I feel I can relate so much since I also have a six year old son. It makes me feel better to know that I'm not alone with a walking "law firm" for a child (that totally cracked me up). I appreciate all that I learn from you and your husband so much!

I like that "I have nothing else to say about that message after preaching it 3 times." I filled in my husband (a children's pastor) and he preaches 6 times in a weekend. I was exhausted!!!! I always knew what he did was hard work but def have a greater appreciation now.

Thank you so much for the message this weekend. It meant so much to me and really spoke to my heart. I am so blessed to be a part of a church that loves us just where we are.

Holly, I enjoyed your sermon very much! It was very helpful. I have compared myself to Peter in the past and I thank you for the great message! Love your children!
