This Monday Morning Commentary is a unique one because I was the preacher this past weekend. I honestly don't know how my husband continually, week after week, brings the Word of God to our church in such a powerful way. Speaking on behalf of God is a pretty serious deal, and my husband never takes it lightly.
I preached from Philippians 2:1-13 and encouraged everyone to embrace humility and be Jesus in their relationships. To stop focusing on what the other person needs to do or stop doing in your relationship and focus on what God wants us to do.
I must say I am glad that I just get to go to church like everyone else next week!
You can watch the message at the Elevation Experience this week and in our archive later today.
Have a great Monday!
I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed and learned when you spoke on Mother's Day. I love and learn best from analogies. Your story about the two brothers stuck with me. I have several times since then reminded myself to just be Jesus. I've also added that to my prayers, that I can just be Jesus for today. Thank you, you did a wonderful job!

Hi Holly, I listened to this preach yesterday, while in my uni room in the UK.... It was an amazing message and really wanted to say how great the preach was and really spoke to me, I'm not yet married!.. but 'you be Jesus, let God be God' can be applied in my life in many ways. As I only got saved 9months ago when I was 19, it is also great to hear about relationship and marriage in an honest, christian way and from a womans perspective. Thankyou! Rosie

Holly, the Furticks are on a roll delivering God's message. You and Pastor Furtick are an awesome team! I just listened to your message and there was a reason why God had me hear it on line today instead of Sunday. Big Time! Humility, knowing his heart not his actions. Thank you for the great spiritual food and reminders of us being more Christ like. Love you guys/Elevation!

Could you mention the name of the book you read by this phenominal man? I'm curious to take a read, too!

I just watched your message and am sitting here in tears for having been encouraged by the excellent truths you brought, and then to top it all off with such an amazing testimony of a godly man "of his word" to punctuate all that was said! Loved the Scripture choosen - I will never read it the same again! God bless!

While you were preaching Sunday, I was feeding Abbey the rest of her bottle and lovin' her up while Dawn finished up her rounds. She is so absolutely precious!

I loved your sermon and think you should preach every Mother's Day! It truly hit home for me how we seem to put everything and everyone in front of our spouse...(we have been married 15 1/2 years and have 2 kids) I am doing my best to "be Jesus" in my marriage. WOW. it's already tricky and I've only been at it for 36 hrs...thank you for putting for all the effort to preach on Mother's Day. it was very special and resonated deeply in so many. ps. you looked stunning up there! great top and your hair is gorgeous :)

Thank you for such a inspired message! I walked out from church yesterday with so many practical steps to work on in my marriage, parenting, and all my relationships. God used your illustration of the boys getting their shoes on to remind me what is right and show me how I act sometimes.
I appreciate all of your hard work getting the message together - it truly spoke to me.

Thank You so much for taking the time to bring that message to us. I was so excited all week to hear it and it was just perfect. What an amazing Word you brought... and what a great family you have. We are so blessed to be a part of your church...7 months now...:)

I enjoyed hearing from you on Sunday morning and my 12 year old son did too. Later that evening my 12 year old told his 6 year old brother (as they were beginning to argue over something really silly) "I'm gonna be like Jesus and not argue about this." That made my day! Thanks, Holly!

Holly, thank you for delivering such a wonderful Mother's Day message. You especially resonated with my 18 year old daughter who is usually very critical (sorry Pastor Furtick). As soon as we stepped foot in the parking lot she was excitedly recalling all of the applications and truths of the message. This is not an easy age group but I think you have a gift for speaking to this age. This series is so important not just for those of us wh are married but for the next generation who are just discovering relationships and what God wants for us through those relationships. Thank you for being God's voice yesterday.

Such an inspired message. You have a great delivery, Holly! I am in a weird relationship status because my husband of almost 9 years (and love of 18) has left our family recently. We have discovered he is having an affair. He's unrepentant and seems quite happy. Your message was especially challenging for me but I took so much from it. I am praying as to how God would have me to continue to honor and respect my husband even in light of the sins he's committing against our family. Thank you for preaching such a powerful and inspiring word. You are an inspiration to me, Holly!

I just watched your sermon! Thanks for being so authentic and real! I cried watching that video. It touched me and also it remained me of what Jesus did for us and how much He sacrificed for us.
I really admire you. I have also a 5 month old baby and 2 other kids under 7. However, I find amazing how you find the time to prepare for the sermon. I laughed when you mentioned about getting to church on time with three kids...I am the same way. It is so hard. But we try. Anyhow. Thanks for being obedient and for speaking the word that God placed in your heart. May the Lord continue to bless you and Pastor.

Listened this morning. Gave me a new view of the way I need to approach my marriage, my children, my walk w/ the Lord & my everyday activites.
Would love to hear you deliver the word more often. Great Job!
