The days of summer can get really long. We try to keep a little schedule during the week. We go to the pool, we deliver Friendship Trays, visit the library and a few local parks.
One activity that my kids love is the movie theater. I'm not sure if you know this but many theaters offer free movies during the week for kids. They are movies currently on dvd (not a draw back for my kids because they are little and they love to see movies over and over and over).
Regal Cinemas are free and their movies play at 10 am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. You can check out the movie listing and participating theaters here.
AMC charges $1 and their movies are on Tuesdays at 10 am. You can check out their list here.
What are you doing with your kids this summer?
Hi Holly!! Thank you so much for the free movie suggestion. I was trying to brainstorm something fun for Bethany, Gabriel, and I to do today and due to your suggestion, we headed to the movies this morning! It was free, fun, and we were inside--so it was cool :)! Thanks again! By the way, I really enjoy reading your blog!!

Thanks for the websites. I was just told about this yesterday and wanted to go check it out.
We go to a lot of parks and have picnics with other friends. We also have a six flags by our house and we got season passes. We love going early and getting on a few rides and then going to the water park.
We have one busy travel schedule this summer with our move to South Africa, so I try to keep this pretty normal for my son when we are home. He is very confused and not understanding what is going on.

Maybe I sound silly asking this - but could you tell us a little about "friendship trays" they sound fun!
