In light of yesterday's post, I would like to pray for you and those on your heart this Easter.
Sometimes, as a pastor's wife, I feel a bit disconnected. If you attend Elevation, please let me know who you are inviting. Who you are praying for. I want to join with you in expecting God.
Maybe you are a church planter or a pastor's wife, let me know the name of your church and your location, I want to pray for you and your church.
Or maybe you have been praying for a husband, mother, son, friend, and they have finally agreed to attend your church with you this Sunday. I want to pray for them with you.
Leave me a comment. Make up a name if you want to be confidential. I promise to pray for each request.
I wanted to first say, I keep rediscovering your blog... I'll go months and then hit it up again. A few weeks ago my husband (a pastor) was sitting on the couch listing to a sermon from a younger pastor and made a positive comment about it so I leaned over his shoulder... "I've seen that guy but I'm not sure where..." It drove me nuts for hrs. It was your husband... I remembered his face from your blog picture. Anyways, I thought I'd take you up on your offer to pray for me. We are young... (sigh... I turn... 30... in less than 6 months) and my husband is a couple yrs older. We have been at our current church for 2 years after serving 8 yrs at our previous one. This is our first pastorate and God is doing some amazing things. Our church is small but growing... but, it gets lonely. God is creating friendships for me here but the church we previously served in is where I grew up so... some days, I get a little melancholy about it all. God is so good and is using us and is blessing our lives personally and within the church... so no complaints just a tiny pining for companionship at times. Anyways, thanks for your offer. If I could pray for you please let me know... your boys are adorable and we enjoy listening to your husbands messages.

Hi! Thank you for this amazing ministry. Do you pray with a group for these requests?
I am in the Mid East in a hostile area. Thank you for remembering His church here, for spiritual breakthroughs (revival).

Holly, we are bringing my parents. My mom has been battling cancer this past year [she lives in Asheville] and listens to PF online and she is so excited about attending. However, her dr's actually recommended she doesn't come because her white blood counts are very low right now so if you will join me in praying for the strength to make it to the service as well as staying free from germs that would be awesome.
On a side-note, I am praying for you! I know it's a great sacrafice for a weekend like this to happen and I thank you for serving Elevation church with your dedication, love and support! I really hope we get to meet one day. :)
Much love,
Nicki

Please pray for my 23 yr. old son John who will be attending with us on Sunday. He was brought up in the Lord but because of alcoholism has fallen away. Please pray the bondage of addiction would end and he would leave the service with the power and hope of the resurrection. Amen!

Thanks for every prayer! I am a church planter in Japan, and my husband just got diagnosed with diabetes last week. One young German woman who said that next time she comes, she would like to accept Christ, was terribly sick for a month, even ending up with walking pneumonia and then, a burst eardrum! Our enemy is surely on the prowl, but greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. Please pray for Pearl Vineyard.

Please pray for the Watts family. They are our good friends and neighbors and their family is falling apart. We are going to do everything possible to get them there. Such incredible things are happening at Elevation!
Thanx Holly

Hi Holly. "Keep Your Dukes Up" is exactly right...often attacks take just as much spiritual effort as physical effort. I'm believing great things from the prayers for families at Elevation. Easter is such a powerful reminder of what God gave and continues to provide for us. My prayer is that my husband's heart and ears are completely softened and open to hear from the Holy Spirit. I love you and your family dearly. Can't wait to see what happens tomorrow! Leslie P

Hi Holly,
I'm a first time reader, pastor's wife in San Diego. Our church will be celebrating our one year anniversary on Easter Sunday. I know you understand the challenges of church planting, so the prayers of many are appreciated! Pray for Summit Church and all who walk through the doors, that the power of God will be so strong in that auditorium and lives will be forever changed by His love. May God grow the church, His church as we are obedient to His call.
Blessings,
Rebecca

Hi Holly. I follow your blog and listen to sermons if I'm working late from time to time. My husband and I are building a house and have been burning our candles at both ends. We are faithful to church on Sunday mornings and our Life Group on Sunday Evenings, but we've been skipping Wednesday evenings to work on the house. Please pray for us to get finished quickly on our home. Also please pray for our church New Harmony Church in Salem Missouri www.nharmony.org and our Pator David Gidcumb and his wife Cathy. God is doing some amazing things. Also for the other little church which we also attend...Anutt Community Church - Pastor Chuck and his wife Rosie such a wonderful anointed pastor to a little church that is growing! Thank you.

what wisdom from what you wrote, "put your dukes up/keep...". We feel the same way, Easter is our most attacked time of the year. My husband and I are in the Dominican Republic, started New Life B.C. 8 years ago. Please pray for my husband and our leaders, and myself. I will also lift you and the staff up there in Charlotte. Also, after reading thru the posts, my heart went out to the person, "Jessica Kelly" who did a very short post, it sounded like a desperate plee/emergency prayer. My heart goes out to you, Jessica. I will keep her in my prayers as well! Happy Easter to you, Holly and family. Thanks for the awesome and creative idea.

Holly,
I am a pastor's wife that follows your blogs. Thanks for your challenge to pray boldly for our this weekend and thanks for the reminder that Satan wants to reek havoc on our ministries this weekend.
My church is Georgetown Church of Christ in Georgetown, OH. My husband preaches at the teen/young adult service and is presenting the Gospel in a unique way this weekend. Pray for him, Adam. And for those who attend.

Holly,
We invited our neighbors - Dean, the husband is an atheist - who is always asking probing questions about Elevation, PF, God. Angie, his wife attended church growing up, and tells me often that she should come with us one day. Their son, Jake, who plays with our kids and hears about Elevation and even had to come to the office when I volunteered one Monday (they were all off from school). He said, "This is a church? Looks pretty cool!".
So, we decided to Egg them. Dean instantly had a reason not to come. Angie said that she and Jake would come!! So we were stoked........
Until yesterday when she let me know that they had a change of plans and were going to travel to see family instead. She promises to come another week with us. I know that God is working on all their hearts and I pray that the week they actually do come with us, it is a day they'll never forget.
Thanks to you, PF and all the other Elevation staff for caring for your people. We love you all so much and pray for a healthy, safe Easter!
