Do you have one of those toys in your house that is constantly fought over? We do.
His name is Blue Hook. He takes no batteries. He is just an action figure about the size of a Hot Wheel car. He came with a big pirate ship but do not be deceived, his ship is not the most coveted toy in the house, he is.
I have had many days where Blue Hook was in time-out because he couldn't be shared. There have been many tears shed over this tiny guy. I have spent much time looking for him and many days on the look out for him. I have even checked Craigslist to see if I could find another one, but you know if I did, no one would care about Blue Hook anymore.
A pure and simple case of supply and demand. Any toys like that in your house?
Ours is a big pink squeegy type ball. Autumn won it at a fair in Pensacola. Her & Easton fight over it ALL the time. And of course, I've never seen one like it in a store ... it came from the fair. Anyone having a state fair close by your house??!!

It's funny, as I read your blog post, my kids (a boy and a girl) are in the living room fighting over the Wii. At our house, it really isn't a specific toy that is fought over so much. It is usually whatever one has that all of a sudden becomes interesting to the one without the toy! Never fails, a room FULL of toys and they want the same one.

Oh my, with a boy and a girl, that does not happen very much, but I have a feeling it will happen more as our baby boy gets older!! We shall see!

Holly,
I laughed so hard because I remember when my girls were about your boys' age and they both had a love for Disney Princesses and they both would spend hours with those small figurines. They couldn't just have Cinderella they had to have ALL of them or it didn't work! (they were all the size of a matchbox car) and they went everywhere with us. Then they moved on to the world of Polly pocket (again small) and I would spend hours looking for Polly’s shoes that were size of a pea!! YES I can totally relate..now its Barbie shoes I am looking for half the time! :)
