If you want to have the most popular dish at a covered dish supper, summer cook out, or party, this is the recipe for you to make. Almost every time I have to take a dish to a function, I make Crock Pot Macaroni and Cheese. I hardly ever bring any home. I promise you will love this.
Crock Pot Macaroni and Cheese
- Ingredients:8oz of cooked macaroni1 (12oz) can of evaporated milk2 eggs1 tsp salt1/2 tsp pepper4oz sour cream1 cup milk4 cups sharp cheddar cheese
Mix all ingredients except for 1/2 cup of cheese poured into a greased crock pot (I forget all the time and it is not that bad). Put 1/2 cup of cheese on top. Cook on low for 5-6 hours.
If you are preparing for more than 20 people, you can double the recipe. The doubled recipe fits in a large crock pot. Let me know if you make this dish and like it! Next recipe... meatball subs.
Making this tonight for Kira's arrival in Charlotte. I've tried making it healthier, I've tried other recipes, and I've given up.
This is the BEST crockpot mac and cheese ever.
Thanks again for sharing! Love you guys. Tonia

I just made this tonight and everyone loved it! Even Madelyn, my very picky oldest daughter, liked it and she usually will only eat the Kraft kind. We'll definitely be having this again.
Also, it's so nice to be able to keep up with you and your family on your blog. Your boys are too cute! I could not even begin to understand raising two boys since we have been blessed with two little girls...and we're done!

Here is a similar recipe if you want to branch out a bit:
INGREDIENTS:
1 package (16 ounces) macaroni
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk
1 1/2 cups milk
1 teaspoon salt
4 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup melted butter
1 regular size block of Velveeta cheese (chop into small squares before putting in crock-pot)
PREPARATION:
Cook macaroni in boiling salted water, following package directions. Drain well. Grease bottom and sides of 3 1/2 to 5-quart crock-pot. Toss hot macaroni in slow cooker with the vegetable oil then add all remaining ingredients.
Let me know if you try it and like it. I'm going to try your recipe next time I make it. Hope you all are doing well.
