I hate my high chair

When I was pregnant with Elijah, I excitedly registered for all of the baby items I wanted with great care.  During this selection, I chose the most beautiful high chair.  I thought it would look so pretty in my kitchen for years to come.  Well is is a beautiful high chair, but not practical at all.  Whatever person (most likely a man without children) designed this chair did not think to test the seat belt.  Well it sucks.

Since Elijah didn't start crawling until he was almost 10 months old, he didn't start standing in the highchair until around his first birthday.  Well about a 2 months ago Graham started this.  He would even get these big bruises on his thighs from the tray catching him when he tried to stand up.  I had a doctor and a nursery worker comment on them (nice, I know!)

Soon Graham started throwing his leg over the side.  It got to where I couldn't walk back to the kitchen for fear that he would fall out.  So about a month ago we had a graduation...Elijah to a regular chair, Graham to the booster with the decent buckle.  Enjoy the pictures.

We have that same high chair. Its at the church now :-) until a next baby decides to make an appearance.

We have sitting in booster issues all the time w/ our 1 year old.
He just wont sit still.
This to shall pass :-)

BTW ur boys look so much like STEVEN!

You know that I have the same high chair and the same problem! That seat belt does not work at all! One time I went and grabbed Alyse's juice from the family room and when I turned around, she had crawled out of the high chair and was sitting on top of the counter. Not sure how she got up there so fast!

P.S. I forgot to mention how much I love that you busted out a heartfelt "well it sucks." That possibly made my day.

He's so stinkin' cute though! Yeah, you learn pretty usually isn't practical.

Oh, the things I have to look forward to!!

Holly I feel your pain,I moved my daughter to a booster highchair a while ago, but that still didnt work she cant get out of it but she screamms after about 5 minutes in it. She would rather eat on the go.

I am anxiously awaiting his first birthday, so he will move into my room at church! He is just the cutest little baby ever! With the pizza! That face!

NO! He is getting so big. Stop him, do something. I miss your boys!
